NEA Announces New Round of Grants

The National Endowment of the Arts announced this week the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Direct Grants. The grants are awarded to support the preservation of jobs that are threatened by declines in philanthopic support during the current economic downturn. The grants represent part of the $50 million in federal aid to the NEA from President Obama's economic stimulus package.

Cincinnati art organizations awarded were the Contemporary Art Center, the Cincinnati Museum Center, and the Contemporary Dance Theatre, Inc.

Kentucky grantees include the Kentucky Dance Council, Inc., and the Lexington Children's Theatre, Inc.
